Joia Battersea
It’s getting cold in London and we are getting lazy to plan fun things but guess what! I have discovered a very nice plan to do with your bestie, partner, or for a date could also work!
It’s the JOIA Rooftop’s Festive Film Club at JOIA Rooftop which launched on 21st November, offering classic Christmas movies Thursday - Sunday.
I went with a friend on Friday to enjoy the special dinner menu before the screening at 7:30pm which was delicious! A creation of the chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, influenced by unique flavour of Catalonia and Portugal. We ordered the Glazed Aubergine, Arroz de Marisco and the best dessert EVER (I’m not exaggerating) the Torrija, a Caramelised brioche, almonds, raspberries and Madeira ice cream, something out of this world!
In between we have the Zircao cocktail, made of Mezcal, tequila, mango, Cointreau and Smoked Paprika (more Mexican than me lol).
Bare in mind that on Sunday, you can arrive from 3pm for the special lunch menu before the screening at 5pm.
After the dinner we headed to the roof top, some cozy seats with blankets, pop corn and a bottle of wine was waiting for us to watch one of my favourite christmas classic movies “Love Actually”. I’ve watched it many times but is never enough, I love watching Hugh Grant acting.
A very different night with my friend!
If you are lacking of fun plans to do this christmas season in London you definetely to try this one.
